Lowepro Announces the StreamLine 100

Small and compact mirror-less cameras such as Sony's NEX series, the Olympus PEN models. and the Panasonic Lumix micro-4/3 compatible cameras have a lot of popularity recently, due mainly to their compact size and ever-improving image quality. They've become a great choice for first time camera buyers, advanced amateur, or even the professional photographer who wants something more portable.

Portability, of course, is nothing without storage. Lowepro yesterday announced a new bag called the StreamLine 100 that gives you somewhere to put your compact camera. Hit the jump for more...

The new StreamLine 100 is built with a more modern design than we're used to seeing, but doesn't go overboard with stylized flourish. Simple, effective, and to the point seems to be the motto for Lowepro recently and I, for one, don't have a problem with that. The thin bag certainly would be a bit too small for a small DSLR, but again, that should be fine with most people. This bag would look great hanging on either a man or a woman's shoulder. For a woman, I dare say it could replace a purse or handbag for a day of shooting.

One last thing I have to point out is the inclusion of those massive zipper handles. This is something that I commented on in my Street & Field collection review. They certainly make it much easier to grab and pull when you're fumbling with hands full of camera gear.

The Lowepro StreamLine 100 is available in Black/Grey and Red/Black combination for about $40 and should be available soon in most photography stores.
